Professor Toshikazu Sunada, the dean of the School of Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences and teaching at the Department of Mathematical Sciences Based on Modeling and Analysis, won the 2013 MSJ Publication Prize which was announced at the MSJ spring meeting held from March 20 to 23 at Kyoto University.
The MSJ Publication Prize was established by the Mathematical Society of Japan (MSJ) in 2004, and is awarded to individuals and organizations or groups who have made significant and noteworthy contributions to the research, education and popularization of mathematics through writings and publications.
Professor Sunada is recognized by his vast range of activities including mathematical readings for public which convey the attractions of Mathematics to many people.
